NextGen Network: Celebrating Innovation
Wednesday, January 29, 2020 from 6:30pm to 9:30pm (EST)
Celebrating Innovation was a huge success!
Celebrating Innovation, the NextGen Network's kickoff event exceeded all expectations, raising more than $20,000 for NCS programs, including more than $3,000 for the NCS Future Fund, which helps young adult residents at Louis Nine House overcome obstacles blocking their path toward education, employment, and independent housing.
Louis Nine House resident Dawson shared his lived experience of feeling alone in shelters and then having an entire support system at NCS (Read more about Dawson’s story here). Scroll down to watch his speech.
Rachael Piltch-Loeb, co-chair of the NextGen Network, presented Streetlives founder Adam Bard and his team the inaugural NextGen Innovation Award for their creative approaches to homelessness.
Thank you to NYC Council Member, Ben Kallos, for sharing his work to address homelessness in the City.
The NextGen Network is a group of young professionals (20s and 30s) who support NCS through monthly donations, volunteer activities, and fundraising events. The group is co-chaired by Matthew Hughes and Rachael Piltch-Loeb. Join today!
