Love is in the Air!

At NCS, we believe that everyone deserves to feel valued, supported, and part of a caring community—especially on holidays that celebrate love and compassion. Last week, that spirit came to life as clients at all three of our residences celebrated Valentine’s Day with festive crafts, sweet treats, and moments of connection.

At Louis Nine House, residents got creative making beautiful (and delicious!) edible arrangements, while NCS Residence clients designed decorative hearts of their own. Meanwhile, our NCS Scholars embraced self-care by assembling personalized wellness boxes, reminding us that love also means taking care of ourselves.

We love seeing our clients’ endless creativity as they try new activities, express themselves, and take pride in what they create. These moments of joy and self-expression are just as important as the essentials we provide, helping to build confidence and a sense of belonging.

Holidays like Valentine’s Day can be challenging for those who have experienced isolation or hardship, but when a community comes together, it makes all the difference. Clients not only enjoyed fun activities but also felt a sense of belonging and warmth, despite these freezing temperatures outside.
