“I am so grateful to live in the NCS Residence. It provides me a sense of stability. I had been working in antique books but then in 2009 I got very sick and couldn’t work. I went into a nursing home for a while. Nearly died. If it wasn’t for this building, I’d be a mess. So I’m very happy about that. I used to live right around the corner here at East 82nd Street so I’m very happy to be back in this neighborhood. I’ve been here a little over eight years now. Came here in 2012 and like I said, I’m very happy to be here. It’s a good building, it’s an excellent neighborhood, and the staff is very nice. I’m just very grateful to be here.”
